ISRO Will Not Be Privatised - Chairman Narayanan

ISRO Chairman Dr. V. Narayanan has made it clear that there is no proposal to privatise the Indian Space Research Organisation. Speaking at the Bengaluru Space Expo, he said the growing participation of private companies in the space sector would not reduce ISRO’s importance. He also assured that concerns raised by employees would be discussed and addressed.

Narayanan said private-sector participation is necessary to meet the country’s growing space requirements. He noted that India needs around 50 launch vehicles every year, making greater involvement from private companies essential to expand launch capacity. He reiterated that ISRO will continue to play a key role in meeting the nation’s strategic and space exploration needs.
