The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is not just a space agency but a symbol of India’s growing strength on the global stage. Over the past decade, ISRO has conducted several landmark missions such as Chandrayaan, Mangalyaan, and Aditya-L1, showcasing its technological capabilities not only for India but also for the world. Now, ISRO is intensifying efforts toward its prestigious Gaganyaan mission, India’s first human spaceflight program. For the past five years, scientists have been rigorously working on various stages using indigenous technology, successfully conducting multiple experimental tests.
As part of these efforts, ISRO recently carried out key pre-launch tests across locations including Visakhapatnam, Gujarat, and Tamil Nadu. The crew module has been transported from Bengaluru to Sriharikota for further trials. Another critical test involving the Crew Escape System is scheduled for the third week of October. Recently, an air drop test was successfully conducted in Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh. ISRO aims to send astronauts into low Earth orbit for about seven days and safely bring them back to Earth. After completing four trial launches, the final manned mission will be executed, drawing global attention.
