Balu had earlier alleged that he was invited to the show only to be humiliated, sparking debate among viewers. In an earlier interview, he opened up about the difficult experiences he faced in his personal life, including social pressure and the loss of close relationships. He recalled being deeply hurt when friends and relatives who once stood by him began distancing themselves after listening to others.

Balu also spoke about his mother’s illness during his school days and the responsibility he took on to care for her. He said he personally looked after her daily needs until she recovered. While recalling his struggles, Balu maintained that he does not allow comments about his identity to affect him. He said his biggest wish is for society to recognise him as a good person and urged people not to judge him based on assumptions or others’ opinions.
