Who Is Neha Pachisia? From Air Hostess to Suspended DSP

Madhya Pradesh police officer Neha Pachisia is facing controversy after being suspended over allegations related to a disputed land transaction and alleged financial demands. Pachisia, who previously worked as an Air India air hostess, later entered government service and became a Deputy Superintendent of Police. She subsequently served as a City Superintendent of Police in several places, including Guna and Katni.

According to reports, the allegations involve a property reportedly worth around ₹80 lakh that was allegedly purchased for ₹18 lakh. The land is said to have links to the family of a person accused in a murder case. Pachisia has also been accused of demanding around ₹15 lakh from the accused’s family. Allegations of threats, fraud and criminal conspiracy have also surfaced in connection with the matter. An FIR has reportedly been registered against Pachisia and two others, Maruf Ahmed and Kshitij Raj.

The allegations prompted the Madhya Pradesh government to take action after the matter came to the attention of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. A detailed investigation was ordered, following which Pachisia was suspended from her post as CSP in Katni. Police officials also reportedly sealed her office and the staff room as part of the investigation and began examining relevant documents and other evidence.

Pachisia’s career had earlier received attention because of her transition from aviation to policing. After completing Class 12, she pursued aviation-related education and worked as an air hostess before preparing for competitive examinations. She appeared for the MPPSC examination in 2012, with the final results announced in 2016. She secured the 20th rank at the state level and joined the police service as a DSP.

During her posting as CSP in Guna, Pachisia was reportedly associated with initiatives aimed at making police services more accessible to women. Mobile police stations were introduced in three police station jurisdictions to help women resolve disputes closer to their homes.

The current allegations are still under investigation. Questions over the actual value and circumstances of the land transaction, the alleged demand for money and the evidence supporting the accusations are expected to be clarified as the probe progresses.
