Huge Offerings to Tirumala Srivari Hundi...

The Tirumala Srivari Hundi received massive offerings from devotees, with ₹6.93 crore collected in a single day on September 10, according to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) officials. While the Hundi generally receives around ₹3 crore to ₹5 crore per day, the latest collection crossed the ₹6-crore mark. This is only the fourth time in the history of Tirumala that the daily Hundi income has crossed ₹6 crore. The surge comes amid increased pilgrim footfall and consecutive holidays, with large numbers of devotees visiting Tirumala to seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara. Along with fulfilling their vows, devotees are offering cash and other valuables in the Hundi, contributing to the significant rise in daily collections.

According to TTD records, the highest-ever single-day Hundi collection was ₹7.68 crore, recorded on January 2, 2023, on the occasion of Vaikunta Ekadasi. That remains the all-time record for a single day. Earlier, Hundi collections of ₹6.31 crore were recorded in October 2022, while ₹6.28 crore was collected in July 2018. The latest ₹6.93-crore collection has now joined the list of the highest single-day Hundi revenues and has come close to the all-time record. With the pilgrim rush continuing, Tirumala is witnessing both a steady flow of devotees and substantial offerings to Lord Venkateswara.
