Polling for the second phase of the West Bengal Assembly elections is underway on Wednesday, witnessing an enthusiastic voter turnout across constituencies. Voters turned out in large numbers to exercise their franchise, reflecting strong public participation in the democratic process. By 1 PM, the overall voter turnout reached an impressive 61.11 percent.
Constituency-wise data shows Howrah Uttar recording 63.16 percent polling, while Barrackpore crossed 61 percent. Diamond Harbour, Bhabanipur, Sandeshkhali, and Dum Dum also registered over 50 percent turnout by the afternoon. The steady flow of voters at polling booths indicates a high level of engagement and interest in the ongoing elections.
