The rush of devotees continues in Tirumala, with all compartments of the Vaikunta Queue Complex filled to capacity. As a result, devotees are waiting in queues outside the complex. Devotees without tokens are currently taking around 15 hours for Sarva Darshan. As many as 68,771 devotees had darshan of Lord Venkateswara on Thursday, while 25,888 devotees offered their hair. The hundi collection stood at Rs 6.94 crore.
With consecutive holidays from September 12 to 14, the rush in Tirumala is expected to increase further. In view of the heavy crowd, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has announced the cancellation of break darshan on September 13 and said the time would be allocated to common devotees. TTD is also expected to stop accepting recommendation letters from devotees on Saturday due to the heavy rush.
