Heavy Rain in Hyderabad.. IMD Warns of Thunderstorms and Lightning

Heavy rainfall is being reported across several parts of Hyderabad, with areas including Quthbullapur, Balanagar, Alwal, Gajularamaram, Kukatpally and Miyapur receiving rain. Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Rajendranagar, Manikonda and Tolichowki are also witnessing rainfall. The weather department has warned that some areas could experience thunderstorms and lightning.

Authorities have advised residents to remain alert and avoid stepping outside unless necessary during severe weather. People have been cautioned against taking shelter under trees, electricity poles or hoardings during rainfall. Motorists should drive slowly through waterlogged roads and stay away from exposed electrical wires. Residents of low-lying areas have also been urged to exercise extra caution.
