Andhra Pradesh is likely to witness an increase in rainfall activity as a low-pressure area is expected to form over the North Andaman Sea by Saturday evening. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the system is likely to gradually intensify and move west-northwestwards towards the South Odisha–North Andhra Pradesh coast over the next three to four days.
Several parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh are already receiving rainfall, and the activity is expected to increase in the coming days. The latest IMD forecast indicates heavy rainfall over Coastal Andhra Pradesh on September 23 and 24. Officials are closely monitoring the system as its intensity and movement become clearer.
