Guinness World Record for Dhimsa Dance

Andhra Pradesh created history at Bhogapuram as 13,000 tribal girls performed the traditional Dhimsa dance on a single platform, achieving a Guinness World Record. The event was conducted under the leadership of Tribal Welfare, Women and Child Welfare Minister Gummidi Sandhya Rani. Officials from Guinness World Records witnessed the performance and confirmed that all required guidelines and standards were met before presenting the official certificate.

Minister Sandhya Rani stated that the achievement is not just a record but a global recognition of tribal culture. She credited the state government, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, for promoting tribal arts on the world stage. She also appreciated the efforts of students, teachers, officials, police personnel, and volunteers who contributed to the success. The record is expected to bring wider international recognition to tribal traditions and heritage.
