Grand Celebrations in Tirupati with Kalabhairava Ganapathi

Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations were held with great devotion and enthusiasm at Sri Durga Nagar Colony in the 19th Division of Tirupati. Residents of all age groups, including children, youngsters and elders, came together to make the celebrations special. This year, a grand Ganesha idol featuring the representation of Kalabhairava, the guardian deity of Kashi, was installed as the main attraction. The colony’s youth said their aim was to convey the spiritual message that Kalabhairava is not merely associated with a fierce form but represents a sacred manifestation of Lord Shiva that dispels ignorance and darkness.

The specially designed mandapam and its decorations have become a major attraction for visitors. The colony’s youth designed and created the entire setup with a fresh concept, highlighting the uniqueness of the Kalabhairava Ganapathi. People from different parts of Tirupati are visiting the colony in large numbers to witness the idol and the elaborate decorations. TDP workers from the 19th ward, including Penchalaiah, Ayyappa, Manikonda and Tilak, among others, participated in the celebrations.
