Garuda Seva Tomorrow: Tight Security Arrangements in Tirumala

Tirumala is preparing for the Garuda Seva, one of the most important events of the Srivari Brahmotsavams, scheduled for Saturday. The occasion also coincides with the first Saturday of the Tamil month of Purattasi, considered highly auspicious by Tamil devotees, raising expectations of a significant influx of pilgrims. In view of the anticipated crowd, the district police and TTD security officials are focusing on strengthening security and crowd-management measures across Tirumala. Special arrangements are being made around the four Mada Streets, the Outer Ring Road and major junctions.

As part of the arrangements, two-wheelers will be restricted from entering Tirumala from Friday evening. Officials are reviewing vehicle parking facilities, pilgrim entry into galleries and the refilling system for managing crowds. Around 1.8 lakh devotees are expected to be accommodated in the galleries along the four Mada Streets. Big screens will also be installed at the galleries and other key locations so devotees can watch the Garuda Seva. Special measures are being taken for vehicle parking along the Outer Ring Road, with officials focusing on ensuring that devotees arriving in Tirumala get an opportunity to witness the Garuda Seva.
