‘Future Builders of India’: PM Modi’s Powerful Message to IIT Delhi Students

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the 57th Convocation of IIT Delhi and congratulated the graduating students on beginning a new chapter in their lives. He said he was proud of the country’s youth and described them as the future builders of India. Encouraging students to remain determined despite challenges, he said life would continue to test them and urged them to pursue their goals with confidence and perseverance.

Interacting with the graduates, PM Modi added a lighter touch by saying that while students were physically present at the ceremony, their minds were already occupied with thoughts about the future. He joked that he was not “Baba Bageshwar” to know exactly what was going on in their minds, drawing laughter from the gathering. He noted that some students could be thinking about their first jobs and salaries, while others might be planning startups, higher studies or competitive examinations. Modi also stressed that the rapidly changing global order, driven significantly by technology, makes continuous learning essential. He urged the graduates to think beyond their individual careers and consider how their work and decisions could contribute to India’s development over the coming decades.
