Don’t Judge Vijay’s Government Yet - Prakash Raj

Actor Prakash Raj has said it is too early to assess the performance of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay’s government, which has completed around 120 days in office. He said the government should be given at least a year before its performance is evaluated. Prakash Raj said he had several doubts about Vijay even before the elections and had expressed them at the time, but maintained that the newly formed government should be given time to work. He also said he would wait for the government’s first Budget before making a broader assessment.

Prakash Raj also commented on Vijay’s recent UK visit and his meeting with actor and racer Ajith Kumar at the Silverstone circuit. He said there was nothing wrong with Vijay travelling abroad and meeting Ajith, adding that the focus should instead be on whether the purpose of the visit was achieved. Vijay had attended the Michelin Le Mans Cup event at Silverstone, where he waved the ceremonial green flag. Prakash Raj referred to Vijay’s claim that the visit helped bring investments worth several thousand crores.
