Delhi: Elections for Recently Vacated Rajya Sabha and Assembly Seats

The election process for recently vacated Rajya Sabha and Assembly seats is set to begin. Elections will be held for 11 vacant Rajya Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, along with a by-election to one vacant Assembly seat in West Bengal. According to the Election Commission schedule, the notification will be issued on September 29.

The last date for filing nominations has been fixed as October 6, while scrutiny of nominations will take place on October 7. Candidates can withdraw their nominations until October 9. Polling will be held on October 16, followed by counting of votes on the same day.
