Cyberabad Police Book Case Over Deepfake Video of Telangana CM Revanth Reddy

Cyberabad Cyber Crime Police have registered a case after a digitally manipulated video featuring Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was found circulating on social media. The video reportedly used a morphed image of the Chief Minister and falsely portrayed him delivering a speech, allegedly designed to mislead the public.

According to officials, the issue came to light when SI P. Jayaprakash noticed the content while monitoring Instagram reels during official duty. The fabricated video was found to contain misleading statements that could disturb public order and potentially affect law and order. Following a complaint, police registered a case and initiated an investigation into those responsible for creating and sharing the content.
