The upcoming BRICS Summit has created an extraordinary demand for luxury accommodation across the Delhi-NCR region. Several premium five-star hotels are reportedly seeing extremely limited availability as international delegations, diplomats and other high-profile visitors arrive in the capital.
The surge in demand has also pushed room tariffs sharply higher. At properties such as the Taj, luxury rooms that typically cost around ₹1.5 lakh per night are reportedly being quoted at prices as high as ₹15 lakh. Tight availability, enhanced diplomatic security arrangements and increased international demand are contributing to the premium pricing. The development has put Delhi-NCR’s luxury hospitality sector in the spotlight as the city prepares for the major international gathering.
