Authorities Issue Warning as Godavari Water Levels Rise

The water level of the Godavari River is steadily rising at Bhadrachalam, reaching 43 feet and prompting officials to issue a first-level flood warning. Around 9.30 lakh cusecs of floodwater is being released downstream. Authorities have indicated that if the water level reaches 48 feet, more serious warnings will be issued.

The District Collector has urged people living in low-lying and river basin areas to remain alert. Residents have been advised to avoid visiting riverbanks and strictly follow official guidelines. Authorities are continuously monitoring the situation and taking necessary precautionary measures to ensure public safety.
