A new chapter has begun in the partnership between Andhra Pradesh and Australia, as the state government signed four strategic MoUs with leading Australian institutions in education, research, and industry. The agreements focus on key sectors such as clean energy, advanced manufacturing, inclusive education, student mental health, and skill development. The MoUs were signed in the presence of Minister Nara Lokesh and Australian Assistant Minister for International Education and Development Julian Hill at Undavalli.
These collaborations gained momentum following Minister Nara Lokesh’s recent visit to Australia, where he engaged with universities, research bodies, and industry leaders, inviting them to explore opportunities in Andhra Pradesh. A major outcome includes the establishment of a Solar Manufacturing Centre of Excellence at IIT Tirupati in collaboration with the University of New South Wales, Sydney, and the Centre of Excellence for Energy Transition in Visakhapatnam. The initiative aims to position Andhra Pradesh as a national hub for solar research, innovation, skill development, and technology commercialization.
