Stock Markets Ended Amid Mixed Results

Indian equity markets, which opened higher in the morning, ended Friday’s session on a mixed note. The Sensex fell 19.63 points, or 0.026%, to close at 74,294.96, while the Nifty gained 75.80 points, or 0.33%, to settle at 23,346.40. Market movements remained volatile amid mixed global cues, movements in crude oil prices and continued geopolitical uncertainty.

Adani Total Gas, Poonawalla Fincorp and Welspun Corp were among the notable gainers, while Go Digit General Insurance, KPIT Technologies and Tata Technologies featured among the laggards. The Nifty ended the session with a modest gain, while the Sensex closed marginally lower.
