Funds held by Indians in Swiss banks have declined, according to the latest data released by the Swiss National Bank. As of December 2025, the total amount stood at 325 crore Swiss francs (around ₹36,793 crore), marking an 8 percent drop compared to 2024.
However, funds in personal and institutional accounts rose by over 50 percent to 52.4 crore Swiss francs (around ₹6,000 crore). This represents about 16 percent of the total Indian funds in Swiss banks. Most of the remaining deposits are classified as amounts payable to banks or funds routed through other financial institutions.
