Investor excitement around the latest IPOs has quickly turned into concern as newly listed firms — BMW Ventures, Om Freight Forwarders, and Glottis Limited — have witnessed sharp declines soon after their debut on the stock market.Despite strong demand during the IPO phase, all three stocks are now trading well below their issue prices, with losses ranging between 35% and 40% within just a few days of listing.Om Freight Forwarders, which listed on October 8, saw a weak start — debuting at a 39% discount from its issue price of ₹135 per share and closing the day down 36%. The ₹122 crore issue had attracted healthy interest, being subscribed nearly four times overall.
Glottis Limited also had a rough debut, listing 35% below its issue price of ₹129 per share. While the stock briefly recovered the next day, heavy selling pressure soon returned, pushing it back near its opening level. The IPO was subscribed 2.05 times, with the retail portion subscribed 1.42 times.Meanwhile, BMW Ventures Limited fared no better. The stock, issued at ₹99 per share, opened 25% lower on listing and has since hit lower circuits multiple times. By Wednesday, it was down almost 40% from its issue price. The IPO was subscribed 1.5 times, but retail investor participation was weak.In the last 13 trading sessions, more than 20 companies have made their market debut — yet nearly two-thirds of them are now trading below their issue prices, reflecting waning investor sentiment toward new listings.
