Jio Sets a Global Benchmark in Patents

Reliance Industries' technology arm, Jio Platforms Limited (JPL), has achieved a major milestone in innovation by securing a place among the world's top patent filers. According to the latest Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) rankings released by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) for 2025, Jio Platforms climbed an impressive 320 positions to reach 20th place globally.

The remarkable rise has positioned Jio Platforms among leading global technology innovators such as Huawei, Samsung, Qualcomm, LG, Panasonic, Nokia, Google, Apple, and Microsoft. The company has also been recognized as one of the fastest-growing innovators in the world, reflecting its strong focus on research and technological development.

Notably, Jio Platforms is the only Indian technology innovator to enter the prestigious global Top 20 list. As of March 31, 2026, the company had filed a total of 6,817 patents, highlighting its growing influence in the global technology and intellectual property landscape.
