He said the IPO would strengthen the company’s accountability to shareholders and reinforce its focus on creating long-term value. He also noted that the listing would deepen Reliance’s relationship with Indian retail investors while increasing its responsibilities towards shareholders, customers, employees and other stakeholders.
Akash Ambani said Jio Platforms would continue prioritising transparency, sustainable growth and technological advancement while expanding its digital services. The company’s focus areas include growing mobile data consumption, improving customers’ digital experiences, expanding home broadband and fixed wireless access, and strengthening enterprise relationships. Meta and Google are also strategic investors in Jio Platforms, reflecting their interest in India’s expanding digital economy. According to the provided report, the IPO saw strong early demand: shares reserved for qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) were reportedly fully subscribed within the first 30 minutes, while the retail investor category reached 101% subscription within the first 100 minutes. QIB bids reportedly reached 3.25 times the shares allocated to that category.
