Kerala Chief Minister Satheesan has praised the Malayalam film Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, which has reportedly achieved record-breaking box-office success. He appreciated the film’s storytelling, portrayal of rural life and depiction of human relationships. In a Facebook post, the Chief Minister revealed that he watched the movie with his daughter on Monday after a long break from his usual habit of watching at least one film every month. He said the village scenes, everyday lives of the people, their bonds and the film’s gentle love stories deeply impressed him. After watching it, he wondered why he had waited so long to experience such an enjoyable film.
The Chief Minister also praised the performances of the cast, noting that even actors who appeared in only one or two scenes managed to leave a lasting impression. He said the film made him laugh and also brought moments of sadness, while delivering an enjoyable experience overall. Describing it as the result of excellent teamwork, he explained that he rarely writes reviews after watching films but felt compelled to share his thoughts about this one. He said he had called director A.D. Girish and actor Sangeeth Prathap to congratulate them, while he was unable to reach lead actors Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju by phone. He also gave a special mention to Glixson, expressing affection for the character or person who particularly stayed with him after the film.
