The Congress party is reportedly making arrangements to organise a massive rally in Delhi on November 1, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar. Against this backdrop, the meeting planned in Hyderabad has been cancelled, according to reports. The party leadership is said to be focusing on making the Delhi rally a major political event.
The Congress high command has reportedly directed Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Goud to ensure the participation of a large number of leaders and public representatives from the state. Arrangements are being made to bring representatives ranging from village sarpanches to state ministers to Delhi. State leaders have reportedly booked special trains to transport party representatives from Telangana to the national capital, with Mahesh Goud overseeing the arrangements.
