The global messaging platform WhatsApp has introduced a new “Group Message History” feature aimed at enhancing user experience. With this feature, newly added members can view previous conversations in a group, helping them understand the context and participate smoothly in ongoing discussions. All shared messages remain protected through end-to-end encryption, ensuring there is no compromise on user privacy.
The feature allows admins or members to share between 25 and 100 previous messages with new participants. Group admins also have the option to disable the feature if required. Whenever message history is shared, all group members receive a notification, and details such as timestamps and sender information are clearly displayed. The shared history appears separately from regular messages, making it easy to identify without the need for manual forwarding or screenshots.
