Naa Wife Missing is a thriller that offers a few engaging moments, supported by two well-written twists. The film initially builds suspicion around both the male and female leads, creating some interesting moments as the story unfolds. Varun Sandesh and Shweta Basu Prasad deliver convincing performances, effectively keeping their characters under suspicion. Even after their characters’ true intentions are revealed, both actors maintain the quality of their performances. Praveen, Mohith and Jabardasth Sathya Sri also deliver decent performances in their respective roles. Director Swathi Prakash Mantripragada uses a back-and-forth screenplay structure that works in parts and helps maintain some suspense.
However, the film falls short in its emotional depth, which weakens the impact of its twists. Certain character decisions happen too suddenly, making some important moments less convincing. In an attempt to keep the runtime short, the director leaves some portions underdeveloped, while the reveals could have been handled more effectively. The climax also feels rushed and lacks the desired impact. On the technical front, Sai Karthik’s music and background score complement the narrative, while Sathish Kumar’s cinematography is adequate. The production values and editing are passable. Overall, Naa Wife Missing is an average thriller with a few interesting twists and good performances, but stronger emotional writing and a more effective climax could have made it more engaging.
