

Google has released Chrome 148 to the stable channel for Windows, Mac, and Linux, introducing one of the browser’s biggest security updates in recent years. The latest version fixes 127 security vulnerabilities, including three Critical flaws and several High severity issues that could allow attackers to execute malicious code through specially crafted web pages.
Google said the vulnerabilities affected multiple components, including the Blink rendering engine, V8 JavaScript engine, WebRTC, GPU, and Chrome Remote Desktop. The company rewarded external researchers with more than $100,000 in bug bounties for reporting the flaws. Users have been advised to immediately update Chrome to version 148.0.7778.96/97 to stay protected from potential cyberattacks.
