NASA has announced that it will hold two media briefings on January 30 to discuss final preparations for the SpaceX Crew-12 mission to the International Space Station (ISS). The mission is currently scheduled to launch no earlier than February 15, 2026, from Cape Canaveral, Florida. Crew-12 marks the 12th operational crew rotation mission under NASA’s Commercial Crew Program. The four-member crew includes NASA astronauts Jessica Meir as Commander and Jack Hathaway as Pilot, along with European Space Agency astronaut Sophie Adenot and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev.
The astronauts will travel aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft launched on a Falcon 9 rocket from Space Launch Complex 40. During their months-long stay aboard the ISS, the crew will conduct scientific research and support station maintenance. This mission represents the 13th human spaceflight of the Crew Dragon spacecraft, including its test flight. The Crew-12 mission also marks the first spaceflight for ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot, reinforcing international collaboration and NASA’s goal of providing safe, reliable, and cost-effective transportation to low Earth orbit through partnerships with private companies.
