India’s star spinner Varun Chakravarthy has suffered another injury and has been ruled out of the remainder of the T20I series against Afghanistan. The BCCI stated that Chakravarthy sustained an injury to his ribs while bowling the third over during the opening T20I. He had only recently returned to competitive cricket after spending nearly two months on the sidelines due to injury.
Chakravarthy’s latest setback has also raised concerns over his availability for the upcoming Asian Games, scheduled to begin in Japan on September 28. The spinner had been showing signs of returning to form after his comeback, making the fresh injury a concern for fans. His participation in the Asian Games is expected to be determined after assessing the severity of the injury and completing the required medical evaluations.
