In reply, Chennai chased down the target comfortably despite losing an early wicket. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad played a brilliant unbeaten knock of 67 runs, while Kartik Sharma supported well with 54 runs to guide the team to victory. Urvil Patel also gave a quick start with a valuable 24 runs.
Mumbai bowlers struggled to contain Chennai’s batting lineup, with Jasprit Bumrah managing just one wicket. Overall, it was a dominant team performance from Chennai as they completed the chase with ease.
