In the wake of the recently increased political tensions between India and Bangladesh (IND vs BAN), the BCCI has reportedly taken a crucial decision. It appears the board is considering temporarily postponing Team India's tour of Bangladesh scheduled for this year. The political instability in Bangladesh, along with attacks on minorities, is raising security concerns.
Although the Bangladesh Cricket Board has already announced that it will host India for three ODIs and three T20s in September, the tour remains uncertain as it requires approval from the Indian government. It is worth noting that Team India's tour of Bangladesh was cancelled in the past due to similar reasons. However, BCCI sources have clarified that the T20 World Cup matches will proceed as scheduled in India.
