Mumbai youngster Ayush Mhatre has scripted history by smashing his maiden T20 century and breaking a long-standing world record previously held by Rohit Sharma. The 18-year-old batter scored a brilliant 110 off 53 balls* against Vidarbha in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, showcasing exceptional maturity and shot-making ability.
With this knock, Mhatre has become the youngest male cricketer in the world to score a century in all three formats - First-Class, List A, and T20 - at just 18 years and 135 days. The previous record belonged to Indian captain Rohit Sharma, who achieved the milestone at 19 years and 339 days.
Ayush’s achievement has created an immediate buzz in Indian cricket circles, marking him as one of the brightest emerging talents to watch out for.
