Tilak Varma’s Tattoos Have a Story: Spirituality, Self-Belief and Love for His Parents

Indian cricketer Tilak Varma has become a talking point among youngsters not only for his performances on the field but also for his distinctive collection of tattoos. Each tattoo on the young batter’s body carries a personal meaning. A devoted follower of Lord Shiva, Tilak has chosen a spiritual theme for the sleeve tattoo covering his right arm. It features an image of Lord Shiva on his bicep, Lord Ganesha on his forearm and floral motifs associated with the worship of Lord Shiva near his wrist. He has also inked the words “Om Namah Shivaya” on his chest and “Unwavering Self Trust” on the same arm, reflecting his faith and confidence.

Tilak’s tattoos also showcase his deep affection for his family and pets. As a tribute to his parents, he has had their portraits tattooed on the side of his ribcage. He has also immortalised the image of his beloved pet dog, Trigger, as a tattoo on his leg. The tattoos were done at Aliens Tattoo studio in Mumbai. With a combination of spirituality, self-belief, family affection and personal memories, Tilak’s unique tattoos have attracted considerable attention among young fans.
