Tamil Bigg Boss Fame Varshini Venkat Arrested in Chennai

Actress and television reality-show personality Varshini Venkat has been arrested by Chennai police following a complaint alleging cheating and intimidation. According to police, a young man was allegedly promised an opportunity to invest in a short film that Varshini planned to produce. The complainant reportedly gave her a total of Rs 5 lakh, but claimed that the proposed film did not progress as expected. When he sought the return of his money, he allegedly faced threats.

The complainant further alleged that he was called to meet in the Guindy area, where he was allegedly threatened and that Rs 50,000 in cash and two mobile phones were taken from him. Based on his complaint, Guindy police registered a case against Varshini Venkat and three others on allegations including cheating and snatching, and arrested Varshini in connection with the case. Police are continuing their investigation into the allegations and the role of the other accused.
