Debjani Begins a New Chapter with Bigg Boss Telugu 10

Bigg Boss Telugu 10 was launched in grand style on Sunday, with Bengali actress Debjani entering the house as the first contestant. She impressed host Akkineni Nagarjuna with her lively conversation, charming dance performance and melodious singing. Before entering the house, Debjani described herself as fun-loving, honest and a daydreamer, and shared some of her amusing dreams about life and love. She also joked with Nagarjuna about her “prince charming” being on standby and promised to inform him first if their relationship was confirmed. After receiving a task from the host, she won hearts with her performance before stepping into the Bigg Boss house. She also requested the audience to forgive any mistakes she might make, adding that her Telugu could sometimes sound different because she is Bengali.

Debjani’s journey into the entertainment industry was also far from ordinary. She reportedly received her first acting opportunity after being approached while returning home from tuition. Although her father was initially hesitant, her mother encouraged her to pursue acting. After her first television project stopped unexpectedly, she was later offered a film role and went on to act in seven Bengali films. However, her interest remained in television, partly inspired by her parents’ love for serials. She subsequently worked on two Tamil projects before receiving an opportunity from Star Maa. Her role in Ennenno Janmala Bandham became a turning point in her career and helped her connect with Telugu audiences. She later continued her Telugu television journey with Satyabhama. Her parents live in Kolkata, and she visits them whenever she gets a break. Debjani has also said that she enjoys travelling but particularly loves spending time with her parents and younger sister.
