Bigg Boss Telugu 10: Farmer’s Daughter Jhansi Faces Trolls, Mother Hits Back at Critics

Bigg Boss Telugu Season 10 is progressing with plenty of drama and entertainment. The reality show, which premiered on September 7, has already witnessed two eliminations in its first week, while around 11 contestants are reportedly in the nominations for the second week. As in previous seasons, the current edition also features contestants from both celebrity and commoner categories. Six commoners were selected through Bigg Boss Agnipariksha Season 2, and singer Jhansi, who hails from a farming family, is among them. Born into an ordinary farmer’s family, Jhansi has been supporting her father with agricultural work while pursuing higher education. She impressed the audience with her talent in Agnipariksha Season 2 and eventually secured her place as a main contestant in Bigg Boss Telugu 10.

After entering the Bigg Boss house, however, Jhansi has been facing criticism over her gameplay. Some viewers on social media claim that her approach has changed and accuse her of playing selfishly. A section of netizens has also criticised her for allegedly betraying fellow contestants and using her “farmer’s daughter” image as part of her game. Some have even compared her to former Bigg Boss Telugu contestant Pallavi Prashanth. Amid the criticism, Jhansi’s mother Hemalatha came out in support of her daughter. She said she was extremely happy about Jhansi’s Bigg Boss journey and praised her daughter’s performance in the house. Hemalatha pointed out that lakhs of people across the Telugu states are supporting Jhansi, while only a section of viewers are criticising her. She also appealed to people to consider whether they would make similar comments if someone from their own family were in Jhansi’s position. According to Hemalatha, Jhansi has been hardworking since childhood, and that quality helped her reach this stage. Meanwhile, social media users continue to express mixed opinions, with some supporting Jhansi and others continuing to criticise her gameplay.
