Story:
Georgekutty once again tries to protect his family from the Varun murder case by creating another intelligent escape plan. This time, he even turns the incident into a movie script to secure himself further. Meanwhile, problems surrounding his daughter’s marriage and the return of old tensions pull him back into danger. The arrival of constable Sahadevan adds more suspense to the story, leading to new twists and emotional moments.
Plus Points:
Mohanlal’s performance remains the biggest strength of the film. His calm and controlled acting perfectly suits the character of Georgekutty. The second half contains a few engaging twists that keep audiences interested. The cinematography looks visually rich, and the background score supports the thriller mood effectively. The film also avoids unnecessary songs, which helps maintain the narrative flow.
Minus Points:
Compared to the first two parts, this installment feels less engaging. The first half moves slowly, and some scenes feel unnecessarily stretched. The Telugu dubbing is disappointing and reduces the emotional impact in several scenes. Better editing and tighter pacing could have improved the overall experience.
Technical Department:
Director Jeethu Joseph once again tries to impress with layered twists and suspense elements. The cinematography and music elevate the thriller atmosphere. However, the editing could have been sharper to make the film more gripping.
Verdict:
Drishyam 3 works as a partly engaging thriller with decent twists, but it does not recreate the magic of the first two films completely. Fans expecting a blockbuster-level continuation may feel slightly disappointed.
Rating: 2.5/5
