Telangana Minister Seethakka has strongly criticised the alleged behaviour of some BRS MLAs towards women legislators during an incident at the Assembly gates. She released a video of the incident and alleged that BRS women MLAs Sabitha Indra Reddy, Sunitha Lakshma Reddy and Kova Lakshmi were pushed from behind by MLAs Gangula Kamalakar and Sudheer Reddy. Seethakka also alleged that Kamalakar moved forward while pushing the women legislators from behind.
Speaking informally with media representatives, Seethakka questioned the need for a BRS MLA to enter the space between two women legislators. She alleged that Kova Lakshmi and Sabitha Indra Reddy were subjected to inappropriate behaviour by members of their own party. Referring to the incident, she said the women legislators appeared to cry out when they were pushed. Seethakka condemned the alleged conduct and described the behaviour of those involved in strong terms.
