Former Telangana Minister Chamakura Mallareddy is now expanding his education empire beyond state borders. Aiming to establish a strong presence in the national education sector, Mallareddy has purchased Sri Engineering College in Tirupati and another college in Visakhapatnam, marking his entry into Andhra Pradesh’s education landscape. After offering prayers at Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Temple, Mallareddy revealed his future plans to the media. “With the blessings of Lord Venkateswara, I’m planning to establish universities and colleges across India. My mission is to provide quality education and healthcare to the poor,” he said. He also expressed his wish for KCR’s government to return to power in Telangana.
Currently serving as an MLA from the Medchal constituency, Mallareddy already runs several educational institutions in Telangana, including engineering, medical, management colleges, schools, and a deemed university. His next step is to expand into Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. The Tirupati institution will soon be operated under the Mallareddy Group of Institutions banner. Sources say he’s also planning to acquire more colleges while setting up new universities and hospitals to extend his vision of social service through education.
Mallareddy’s latest expansion move has sparked considerable discussion in both political and educational circles.
