Teachers Have No Replacement, Says Chandrababu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said teachers are the true architects of students’ futures and that their role cannot be replaced by technology or artificial intelligence. Speaking at the state-level Teachers’ Day celebrations in Vijayawada on Saturday, he called for comprehensive changes in the education system to keep pace with technological advancements. He stressed the need to restructure courses from school to university level and equip students with knowledge of AI, quantum technology, robotics, data analytics, green hydrogen and energy. He also set a goal of achieving 100 per cent literacy in the state by 2027 and said even Class 7 students should be trained to gain proficiency in AI.

Chandrababu said education should go beyond theory and focus on practical learning, while teachers should deal sensitively with students in view of the growing impact of social media and technology. He called for moral values, Indian culture, patriotism, respect for elders and women, and love for nature to be made part of education. He urged teachers to develop leadership qualities among students and transform every school into a model institution. The Chief Minister said 175 outstanding teachers selected from across the state were honoured with awards and certificates during the celebrations. He said the foundation for a developed India and a number-one Andhra Pradesh by 2047 should be laid in schools.
