Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed serious concern over the cancellation of the NEET-UG 2026 examination. Criticising the paper leak controversy, he stated that such incidents had “demonetised” the future of students and alleged that the failures, betrayal, and organised corruption under BJP and BRS were clearly visible. Around 22.79 lakh students who appeared for the exam across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad on May 3, 2026 are now facing uncertainty and emotional distress due to the cancellation.
The Chief Minister stressed that the credibility of national-level examinations must be protected at all costs. He demanded strict action against all individuals and networks involved in paper leaks and corruption, regardless of their influence. Revanth Reddy assured that the Telangana Government stands firmly with affected students and parents. He also urged the Union Government and the National Testing Agency to conduct a transparent and time-bound investigation while ensuring innocent students do not continue to suffer because of systemic failures.
