Tamil Nadu Leader of Opposition and DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin has launched a fresh attack on Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay and the ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) government, calling Vijay a “dummy CM.” Speaking on Sunday, Udhayanidhi alleged that the TVK government had come to power promising change and corruption-free governance but had failed to deliver on those promises.
Udhayanidhi accused the government of simply renaming welfare schemes introduced by the previous DMK administration and putting its own labels on them. He claimed that there had been no significant change in governance apart from what he described as this “sticker politics.” His remarks come amid an intensifying political confrontation between the DMK and TVK, with both sides increasingly targeting each other over governance and development claims.
