

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar visited the CRPF centre in Kalikiri after arriving in Tirupati. He paid tribute at the memorial for martyrs and later inaugurated infrastructure facilities built at a cost of Rs.26 crore. The newly opened facilities include officers’ and subordinate officers’ messes, a recreation club, a store and a tradesmen block. Senior CRPF officials welcomed the minister during his visit.
Addressing CRPF personnel, Bandi Sanjay praised their contribution to protecting the country’s internal security and sovereignty. He said the welfare of personnel who remain on duty around the clock is a top priority for the Union government. The newly inaugurated facilities, he added, would improve the daily lives and working conditions of the personnel while providing better spaces for discussions, recreation and relaxation after demanding duties.
