Former Telangana minister and BRS leader Harish Rao has strongly criticised the Congress government over the inclusion of lands in the 22A prohibited list. He alleged that even lands that had previously been legally cleared were being added to the list, causing confusion and difficulties for the public. He claimed that properties, houses and apartment flats in several parts of Hyderabad were also being placed under the prohibited category, affecting registrations and bank loans.
Harish Rao also made serious allegations that officials in the Revenue Department were demanding a 30% commission to remove properties from the 22A list. He demanded an immediate inquiry into the issue and called for a white paper detailing properties added to the prohibited list since December 7, 2023. He also urged the government to remove properties that were wrongly included in the 22A list and resolve the difficulties faced by ordinary citizens.
