The Mummy 2026 OTT Release Date Confirmed in India

The Mummy franchise has long been associated with adventure, ancient mysteries and larger-than-life entertainment, but The Mummy 2026 takes the familiar name in a much darker direction. Directed by Lee Cronin, the horror film is now preparing for its Indian OTT release after arriving in theatres worldwide on April 17.

The story follows a family whose life changes when their daughter, who disappeared eight years earlier, unexpectedly returns home. Their happiness quickly turns into terror when they discover that she has returned with a terrifying supernatural presence. The film builds its horror around this disturbing family situation, with atmospheric visuals, frightening sequences and an intense background score playing a major role. After its overseas rental release on Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV+, the film will stream in India from September 17 on JioHotstar. It will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and English, making the new horror take on The Mummy accessible to a much wider Indian audience.
