Ponnur MLA Dhulipalla Narendra has urged YSRCP leaders to stop what he described as a campaign to malign the government. He alleged that the party's leaders were resorting to disruptive activities out of fear of defeat. Accusing them of engaging in attacks near polling stations, he claimed that they were attempting to shift the blame for such incidents onto the ruling party. Narendra said that although such actions could be resisted, confrontation was not his party's approach. He also questioned whether the police would face stone-pelting when they attempted to prevent alleged acts of violence.
Narendra said it was inappropriate to portray incidents reported at five locations as though similar situations had occurred across the state. He questioned the alleged obstruction of candidates seeking to file nominations on behalf of the Telugu Desam Party. Referring to former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy's claims of development, Narendra asked why the YSRCP had won only 11 seats if its governance had been so effective. He also made allegations regarding the treatment of former State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh and the conduct of previous local body elections. Narendra said his party supported the conduct of elections in a democratic manner and urged the YSRCP to stop making allegations against the government. These remarks reflect Narendra's position on the issue.
