Movies Set to Enter the OTT Space After Their Theatrical Run

Several Hindi films have received A certificates from the censor board this year. The notable titles include ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, ‘Cocktail 2’, ‘O’ Romeo’, ‘Batwara 1947’, ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’ and ‘Bandar’. Now, two upcoming releases, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s ‘Daayra’ and Kunal Kemmu’s ‘Vibe’, have also received adults-only certification, drawing attention among moviegoers.

‘Daayra’, starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran, is a crime investigative thriller directed by Meghna Gulzar, known for ‘Raazi’. The film has been passed with an A certificate and an approved runtime of 2 hours and 23 minutes. Given its crime-thriller genre, the adult certification is considered understandable.

Meanwhile, Kunal Kemmu’s ‘Vibe’ has also received an A certificate, which has come as a surprise since the film is described as a fun entertainer. Directed by and starring Kunal Kemmu, the movie has an approved runtime of 2 hours and 25 minutes. Preity G Zinta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Vanshika Dhir, Dinesh Lal Yadav aka Nirahua and Yashpal Sharma are part of the cast.
