Weather department warning for Telangana

The Meteorological Department has said that a trough extending from Karnataka through Tamil Nadu up to the Kanyakumari region is likely to bring significant weather changes over the next three days. In Telangana, mixed weather conditions are expected, with temperatures likely to rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in the coming days.

Officials also warned that light to moderate rainfall may occur in some districts along with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds reaching speeds of 30–40 kmph. The department advised people to take precautions against heatwaves, avoid outdoor travel during peak afternoon hours, and stay away from trees and electric poles during thunderstorms. Farmers have been urged to protect harvested crops due to strong winds.
